G-cluster and Cavium partner to bring seamless and robust gaming and VoD experience through G-cluster's new wireless Cloud Game Machine powered by Cavium's PureVu® CNW6611L
TAIPEI, Taiwan, SAN JOSE, Calif., and TOKYO June 3, 2013 – Cavium, Inc. (NASDAQ: CAVM), a leading provider of semiconductor products that enable intelligent processing for networking, communications and the digital home, today announced that G-cluster’s wireless Cloud Game Machine, scheduled to be released on June 20th, is based on Cavium’s PureVu® CNW6611L media SoC offering superior wireless video and gaming connectivity. G-cluster’s latest product enables users to easily connect to a G-cluster cloud gaming service to view premium content or play their favorite games on the TV. The new Cloud Game Machine leverages Cavium’s best in class low latency technology which is a prime requisite for gaming, and supports interactive video/audio content to be streamed from cloud-based servers for users to play games without purchasing game consoles or downloading game software.
G-cluster’s white label service offers a catalog of casual and premium games where users can choose to play alone or with friends and family using a gamepad or their mobile devices as the controller. Seamless mobility is a must-have feature supported in Cavium enabled G-cluster products where the user can start playing on the TV, pause and then continue the game on another device such as smartphone or a tablet.

G-cluster’s Cloud Game Machine leverages the flexibility and performance of Cavium’s CNW6611L media processor to offer superior video quality, optimized end-to-end latency, and robust content delivery over standard WiFi. CNW6611L’s architecture offers the flexibility of a 1080p multi-format media subsystem, along with the raw horsepower of hardware accelerated security and graphics processing, to implement various wireless display capabilities with support for DTCP-IP and AES content protection.
